For many, “leasing” may look to be an unknown term. And this is may be indicative that now, when Azerbaijan lives the period of economic growth, we more often face new terms, which reflect modern processes of our economy, such as leasing, factoring, franchising etc. This speaks of the fact that as a result of economic reforms conditions for development and need for new mechanisms and services have appeared on market, which successfully function in countries with developed market economy.

Leasing is one of these financial mechanisms for the development of market economy. Experience of developed countries (USA, Germany, UK etc.) and some of our neighbors (Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan) indicates, that leasing may be an effective instrument for the development of private sector (small and middle size enterprises in the first place) that in turn results in the growth of entire economy.
